The holidays are over. Keep feasting at Restaurant Julius with an easy conscience. The restaurant is closed in the evening. Our Restaurant Manager Michael Diez and his team welcome you to present our new winter highlights.
The restaurant’s history is based on the first manager of Hotel Berlin, Berlin. Julius Sauter was an ambitious hotelier with an enthusiasm for fine dining. Undoubtedly his passion is subject to his origin – the region of Baden on the German border with France.
When Julius Sauter came to Berlin in 1958, he started right away to look for cooks, kitchen hands and waiters who were able to prepare Baden cuisine in a tasty and original way and to serve it authentically.
The Hotel soon enjoyed a good reputation as one of the best restaurants in town. In the 1960s it was renowned as one of the leading grill restaurants in the city.
Julius Sauter led the hotel for over 25 years. His ideas, visions and experiences are still present in our hotel today and especially in the restaurant which is proud to bear his name and continues to indulge his guests with seasonal and Mediterranean cuisine.
