Hotel Berlin, Berlin hosts Recruiting Days

More than 800 visitors are expected for the career trade fair for the hotel, catering and tourism industry on March 8, in Berlin

The career trade fair for the Hospitality industry will be on a roadshow throughout Germany in the spring. The first stopover on the tour will be the Recruiting Days hosted at Hotel Berlin, Berlin on March 8, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The establishment at the Lützowplatz is amongst the largest hotels in Germany, and specialises in meetings, conferences and events.

During the Recruiting Days, numerous personnel management specialists from well-known companies in the Hospitality industry will inform visitors about occupational perspectives and career opportunities at home and abroad. More than 30 exhibitors as well as up to 800 interested visitors – who can inform themselves about diverse career perspectives at home and abroad on this day – are expected.

Moreover, some of the renowned employers will introduce themselves in the course of a brief presentation in the forenoon and highlight professional opportunities in their enterprise. Cornelia Kausch, Managing Director of Hotel Berlin, Berlin will introduce the positioning of the Hotel as “the most Berlin Hotel in the city of Berlin” since the purchase through the Pandox AB (Stockholm) back in June 2006. For its guests and visitors, Hotel Berlin, Berlin is time and again an inherent part of their own, individual and unforgettable Berlin experience. The hotel is with over 700 rooms and suits not only the third largest hotel in Berlin, but also an important company which takes on apprentices in the industry. At the present time, 47 young women and men in three different professions are being trained here. “As a House of Talents we actively nurture internal talents”, emphasises Cornelia Kausch. “In the process, we not only place value on solid training, but introduce our employees to multifaceted developmental opportunities in our hotel.” So it is certainly not a coincidence that the hotel’s sous chef has been a member of Germany’s National Chefs’ Team since the beginning of the year.

In addition to brief lectures, on March 8, visitors will have the opportunity to have their own application portfolio checked by experienced application and career planners as well as to inform themselves about the state of the art preparation for a job interview. Hotel Berlin, Berlin has ideal premises for this purpose. “In our House of Opportunities, the site of the most diverse requirements, virtually all variations are conceivable when it involves events ranging from large-scale areas to sophisticated trade fair structures”, says the hotel manager.

A total of 22 rooms of various sizes are available: large rooms for lectures, but also small rooms which are ideal as a ‘retreat room’ for a one-to-one conversation. The rooms provided by the conference and event specialists are flexibly configurable, and can be combined and divided according to companies and clients needs. Within the shortest time it is possible to follow-up a banquet with a party, an exhibition or a conference.
