I just wanted to write you an email personally, to thank you for all your help, support and understanding before and during the meeting this week. I know that we have effectively had to plan a large and complex meeting in a week and I appreciate fully how frustrating this must have been for you as my venue, but I believe that we managed to pull it off very successfully. The sponsor is very happy (that's the main thing!) and the delegates were happy too.
Normally when we do evaluations, or I feedback following an event, the delegates always complain about some aspect of the hotel, but not this time. There was no negative feedback at all, so that proves what a fabulous venue you have, not just to me as an event planner, but also to every single guest who stays with you. From my perspective as well I normally have a few issues that need to be addressed, but in this case (apart from the very very very very very minor things regarding my room and the fact that 3 tables hadn't been set up!) I can truly say that the venue really delivered.
The staff have been completely wonderful - although I think the bar thought I was trying to be a bit sly when I said that I was the account holder for the event....I ended up signing all the bills to my room in the end!! - and I cannot praise enough the professionalism, friendliness, flexibility, understanding, attentiveness and accommodating nature of every single member of staff. Each one is an asset to the Hotel Berlin, Berlin and you should all be very proud.
Furthermore, your urgent response to our everchanging and demanding requirements did not go unnoticed, and as a result I feel that all members of staff became part of our team and achieved the higher objectives for this very important event. To this end, I would not hesitate to come to the Hotel Berlin, Berlin again as it is a venue that offers a service that is by far superior to any others that I have used before.
I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank a few members of the team. Christain for his help with IT and AV, Michael who looked after us in the evenings, Sebastian on the front desk who was always the last to see me go to bed and the first one to see me in the morning(!), the lady who looked after us in the events office (sorry I never managed to catch her name!) and the catering team as a whole for producing such yummy cakes and food!
Daniela, it goes without saying that I could not have done this event without you and I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your help and being a shoulder to cry on when I needed it! :o) I wholeheartedly owe the success of the event to you and I will never forget that.
Thanks so much for everything! I really hope we get the chance to work together again in the future. However, I have a suspicion that you will be seeing more of Bayer Schering soon as they are just so impressed! Well done!
