Everything you’ll need to know
A lot of questions always arise before a trip. We have compiled an overview of the most frequently asked questions with helpful answers:
What are the Check In/Check out times?
Your room will be ready to go from 3 p.m. onwards and we ask you to check out by 12 p.m. You are welcome to use the possibility to check in online in advance and thus accelerate the check-in on site. You will receive an invitation by email before arrival.
Self-check-in terminals are available at the hotel.
Can I check in or out earlier or later?
Sure, we'll just check out the situation and if your room is available, you can check in earlier for 30 euros. But if you want to get in between 6:00 and 12:00 (noon), we'll ask you to book for the night before.
I need an invoice for my stay
You will automatically receive the invoice for your stay by email after your departure. If you need a company invoice please talk to our hosts in the lobby or send us an email to info@hotel-berlin.de.
Is there parking available at Hotel Berlin, Berlin?
You can't yet park in your room but there are over 200 spaces in the underground parking lot that you can use for 4 euros an hour (25 euros max a day). There's also a charging station not far away if you have an electric car.
What are your cancellation policies?
Our cancellation policy is entirely based on the booked rate. Our daily rate can be cancelled free of charge until 18:00 on the day of arrival and offers you the greatest possible flexibility.
If you choose a non-refundable or early booker rate and want to save 10-20%, you are subject to special cancellation conditions.
- The early booking rate 10% can still be cancelled free of charge up to 3 days before arrival.
- The early booking rate 15% can be cancelled free of charge up to 7 days before arrival.
- The "Stay 3 nights save 20%" rate can still be cancelled free of charge up to 7 days before arrival.
Please note that you will need to provide us with your credit card details when making the booking and after the free cancellation period, an advance payment for the total cost of the room will be charged.
In case of later cancellation or no-show we charge 90% of the total stay (or 90% of the 1st night for daily rate).
What about breakfast?
We offer our guests an excellent breakfast between 6.30 and 10:00 a.m. Delicious coffee and tea specialities, freshly baked goods, a good selection of cold cuts and cheese on top, scrambled eggs and crispy bacon. Or you can prepare your own bowl with fruits and nuts. In line with Berlin's reputation for openness, you will find vegan specialties if that's what you fancy, as well as a hearty selection of sausage, cheese and fish if you're more old-school. How can I get to the hotel from the airport by public transport?
The airport BER is about 27 km away. Sounds a lot, but it is easy to reach from our hotel by public transport. From the airport take the train RE7 or RB14 to Zoologischer Garten and then bus 100 to Lützowplatz, directly in front of the front door.
I'd like to leave my luggage at the hotel before checking in / after checking out. Is that possible?
We will gladly unburden you and store your luggage. Just ask at reception.
Are pets allowed?
You have a dog, a cat or a hamster? Pets are welcome as guests and are of course allowed to join us for breakfast. Your pets can enjoy a stay at our hotel for just 30 euros a night.
I forgot something at Hotel Berlin, Berlin. What should I do?
Don't fall into despair, just simply contact our Guest Care Center by email (info@hotel-berlin.de) or phone +49 (30) 2605 3111. Give us all the details and we will do everything to find what you have forgotten and send it on to you immediately if successful.
I would like to send a package / delivery in advance to the hotel. What address should I specify?

Frequently asked questions for Corona measures
Your safety is the most important thing for us. We do our best to make your stay comfortable and safe. In doing so, we follow WHO recommendations and implement official pandemic containment orders to the highest degree.
Here you will find many answers to questions arising from the effects of the Berlin Corona Ordinance currently in effect.
Please note that the Berlin Senate adjusts regulations at any time to reflect current conditions and not all areas of the hotel may be available.

WHICH HYGIENE MEASURES ARE OBSERVED BY THE HOTEL?
- Disinfectants are available in all areas of the hotel
- Cleaning cycles are shortened and contact surfaces such as door handles, light switches, bathroom fixtures, toilets, handrails or elevator buttons are regularly disinfected
- Rooms and public areas are aired out frequently
- Utensils are disinfected after use
- Wearing a mouse/nose protection is optional. Our employees wear mouth/nose protection and gloves where necessary. They thoroughly clean or disinfect their hands on a regular basis. Our staff is vaccinated and/or tested regularly.
- Check-in and check-out, are carried out contactlessly wherever possible. Please use our Check-In-Terminals. You will receive your invoice by email.
Can I be sure that the measures will be adhered to?
Your health and safety and that of our employees are of the greatest importance to us. That is why, in compliance with the recommendations of the WHO, we have made changes to our services. At our side is the renowned Bureau Veritas, ensuring we maintain the highest standards at every step and that you have a pleasant stay.
Do i need a negative test?
The Berlin Senate has repealed all regulations for hotels. A test is no longer necessary.

Is the sauna / fitness area open?
Yes, our sauna & spa and fitness area are open. We provide everything for your fitness 24/7 free of charge: Weight tower, cross trainer, ergometer and treadmill. At the end there is a good conscience and between 18:00 and 23:00 a round in the Finnish sauna or sanarium as a reward. Find out more...
