Close-up of Torn Rag art at Hotel Berlin Berlin

Tim Labenda

I’m Tim, and I’ll be your host during your stay at Hotel Berlin, Berlin. I live in Kreuzberg, which is also where my studio is located. I’m a fashion designer but love keeping up with the latest trends in interior design as well. My apartment, located in a pre-World War II building, is my greatest treasure. I’ve put a lot of love and care into designing and furnishing it, and I have to say I enjoy my life there to the full.

Personally, I’d never turn down a chance to stroll along the Landwehr Canal, which runs parallel to the Spree and is dotted with several cafés and restaurants, and I’d recommend tourists go there too. La Lucha, offering Mexican treats, or Defne, which does Greek cuisine, are great pit-stops if you’re looking for somewhere to eat. You’ll find more modern food at Lode & Stijn, or if you like a sweet treat, head to ice-cream shop Isabel.

There’s an unbelievable amount to discover and do in Berlin, whatever the season. In the summer, explore the city by bike, making a stop in the Schillerkiez or elsewhere for a cool drink. Every tourist should head to Tempelhofer Feld at least once during their stay, and that’s always buzzing in summer too. But it’s also great here in autumn or winter. The greenhouses of the Botanical Gardens reach pretty tropical temperatures, even on a cold day! What’s more, if you make a trip up the Teufelsberg in autumn, you’ll be rewarded by dreamy sunsets and the spectacle of leaves changing colour. No matter the season, enjoy your trip to this wonderful city!
